Artistic Impressions by Lynette Moore
Lynette Moore (Maneval) is an artist whose passion for nature, outdoors and fishing are captured in her work. She paints in oil or alcohol ink, and creates one of a kind jewelry.
In our hectic world, people can miss the beauty around them. Lynette hopes her art inspires others to achieve increased balance with nature.
Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Lynette grew up in western Minnesota. She spent almost every weekend in the country at her grandparents’ farms and on the lake. In the fifth grade she started studying painting when she inherited her great aunt’s paint box. Lynette received a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978, and moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin to work for The Trane Company, a major air conditioning manufacturer. Over the next eighteen years she climbed the corporate ladder with successive management positions. In 1996 Lynette decided to leave an upper management career and “retire” from the corporate world.
Lynette believes her engineering background gives her problem solving and creative thinking skills that enhance her artistic expression. In addition, Lynette says, “I love the outdoors. I’ve enjoyed scuba diving in the Great Lakes, Florida, Bahamas, and Caribbean. Every year I go to Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana for several months in the summer to camp and fish. Many winters are spent in Crystal River, Florida fishing and snorkeling with manatees. When home in La Crosse, I fish in the Mississippi River and in the coulee region spring creeks. These experiences are expressed in my art.”
Lynette’s work is in private collections in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Arizona.
